About Us
Dr. William M. Boyles, O.D. is a Florida board-certified Optometric Physician specializing in primary eyecare and contact lenses. He received his Doctor of Optometry degree from the prestigious Nova Southeastern University, located in South Florida, where he received a clinical honors designation for his contact lens rotation. He has an undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from the top-ranked North Carolina State University in Raleigh, North Carolina. His engineering background enables him to think critically and analytically when diagnosing ocular diseases and treatments for his patients. The training he received in south Florida afforded him the opportunity to follow a very diverse socio-economic population from many countries. Dr. Boyles is actively involved in co-management of cataract and refractive surgery, as well as many other ocular diseases.
A Florida native, he enjoys outdoor activities like golf, biking, walking, swimming, and SCUBA diving. He is active with his sons in Boy Scouts, where he is involved in camping and hiking. He also enjoys music, the arts, and "tinkering" with computers.
Dr. Boyles resides in Northwest Tampa with his wife and two sons.

Ihsaniye Akbulut is the Optical Manager who has been in the Optical business for over 6 years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida. She is planning on continuing her education towards a master’s degree in Early Childhood Education. Ihsaniye always has a big smile for all of those that she sees and helps. She likes to read books, write poetry, travel, and play with her cats. She is fluent in both English and Turkish.
Bob Martin has been a Dispensing Optician for over 40 years. He learned his trade by studying under a Master Optician in a 4 year apprenticeship program. Bob has been a resident of Florida for over 12 years. Due to his many years of experience in the optical field, he is a valuable asset to the team. He is married with 3 grown children, 6 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild. He enjoys fishing, hunting, gardening, and family travel.
Doug Ryan is a licensed Dispensing Optician. He has been in the optical field for 17 years. He is a graduate of HCC with an Associate’s degree in Opticianry. His goal is to be a Master Optician. He enjoys hiking, camping, reading, and spending time with his family. He is active in his church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is married with 3 children.
